Insurance: YUK!

Why bother?  Why even step into that mess?  IT IS PAINFUL! The products keep changing.

Why bother?

Why even step into that mess?

IT IS PAINFUL! The products keep changing. Servicing my own policies, let alone outside policies, is just too difficult. I don’t want to learn all of this! I don’t have the bandwidth.

MY COST BENEFIT ESTIMATE suggests it just isn’t worth it! It would be a HUGE distraction from my AUM business. And…

  1. I don’t want to risk current relationships with clients by diving into the adversity that can come with insurance.
  2. Yes, the GDC on a good policy can be substantial, but it comes with the opportunity cost of any focus AWAY from my current business model, which is working fine right now.
  3. It doesn’t add any value to my equity in practice. When I focus on acquiring new assets, it will not only pay me yearly, but the equity value is 3-4 times, maybe more. Insurance is zero, or 1x at best.

ED’S RESPONSES:

I understand!

It IS too much, too painful, too complicated, and in the past it may not have been profitable enough to allocate so much of my limited time and resources towards.

But WAIT! That is exactly why I created LeverUpNow!!!

You can’t do it alone, and you shouldn’t try!! The answer here, the solution, is leverage… collaboration. With whom?

  1. Ed
  2. Riversource & DBS (They will both do FAR more for you today, than what you might expect!)
  3. Outside resources and specialists who will work with us, on Group MasterClass Calls and on Case Analysis meetings.
  4. Even better… IDEALLY… we develop a Specialist who will work with us; what I think of as a ‘Sherpa.” Someone to carry the heavy load, before, during and after the client meetings. Someone to get us up the mountain, and back down safely. Maybe better, YOU don’t even have to climb that mountain of Insurance… eventually your Specialist does it, including annual servicing.

Oh… One more thing (as Columbo used to say):

Your clients NEED and DESERVE this focus on their Risk. This matters! Right?
